What is All the Fuss About??

This evening I was watching a very exciting football game between Seattle and San Francisco (my boys!), and SF was stomping all over the 'Hawks" - I mean, those boys were there to WIN! The entire first half I was whooping and hollering, and Cowboy kept looking at me like I was nuts, but he must have thought all of this barking and howling was for a good reason, because a little while later, he started barking and howling right along with me!!

I guess he's a 49ers fan too!

Tug-A-Rug

This evening I could hear Cowboy rummaging around at the other end of the hallway, and went to investigate.  He had pulled the bathroom rug out from under the door and into the hallway!  Caught - red-hand!  Or rather, red-pawed?  Talk about trying to act innocent...

Lesson Learned - the Hard Way

This afternoon I was working on the computer, and as usual the dogs were both lying beneath my desk.  Cowboy was chewing on what I thought was a dog toy, but when my computer suddenly blacked out I realized that what he'd actually been gnawing on was the computer cable that comes into the house from the wireless receiver.  He got a little bit of a jolt from it and yipped and then pretty much left it alone.  My computer however, was not so lucky and I had to make a trip to the store for a new Ethernet cable.   I'd say he was pretty lucky that it was only the Ethernet cable and not a cord that was plugged into the wall, for it if had been he might not be with me anymore...

Modern Comforts

Welll... today Cowboy learned that he can jump on the bed!  Up until now he's pretty much had the run of the house, but as we don't usually "make"' the bed - the blankets are usually rolled back to the foot of the bed to allow the bedding to air out a little bit.  So... now now I guess the baby gate will have to be left up during the daytime too.

Baby Teeth

Cowboy has been teething a lot lately, and baby teeth are beginning to be replaced by permanent ones.  While playing with him last night with the rubber tug toy, he suddenly stopped and began smacking his mouth, as if he'd gotten something in there that was nasty.  I saw something hit the floor and, thinking it was a piece of rubber from the toy I picked it up.  To my surprise it was a puppy tooth!  Of all the puppies I've had, I've never found a baby tooth - mostly because puppies usually just swallow them. This was a prize!

Puppy Playtime

Puppy Playtime again today, and finally, after six weeks, Cowboy played with several puppies! He does not like the German Shepherds because even though they are the same age, they are considerably bigger and pounce on him. I would prefer that they had their own playtime schedule, as I don’t want him to get hurt.  His bones are still growing and I don’t need a four month old puppy with back problems!  Playtime should be determined more by size than by age, I think.  But I could be wrong…

There was a little Border Collie cross named Lucy that he just loves!  They played almost the entire time; sometimes by themselves and sometimes with other puppies.  He had a grand time today!
